Party Like There’s No Tomorrow

Now there was a time

When we used to say

That behind every Great Scam

There had to be a

Great Bank

But since these times are strange

You know that’s

Far from exact

They’re coming back from their darkness

Cause there’s fiction

And then there’s the facts:

Twisters are doin’ it for themselves

Celebratin’ ways to cheat

And partyin’ in their cartels

Twisters are doin’ it for themselves

Now maybe it’s wrong

To celebrate

The constant self-delusion

Of the capitalist state

Bankers, brokers and their audit too

Money to money

They’re laughin’ at you

The superior cats

Got new posteriors

They are hedgers, bodgers, politicians too

Everybody

Listen to that sound

Can you hear, can you hear, can you hear

There’s a cheater right next to you

Twisters are doin’ it for themselves

Celebratin’ ways to cheat

And partyin’ in their cartels

Twisters are doin’ it for themselves

Party Like There’s No Tomorrow

Lehman Brothers employees were said to have been invited to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the firm’s disastrous collapse. Aretha Franklin, soul’s queen, died at the age of 76.
