What irks us in our daily grinds?
A government that effs and blinds
What makes fidelis less than semper?
A government that’s in a temper
Why are we never in the pink?
A government whose ideas stink
What makes us fizz beneath our stopper?
When governments steal pounds, pay copper
Why do the voters not enthuse?
The government extends dole-queues
What makes us foam as if we’ve rabies?
A government that squeals like babies
Why don’t we give our leaders thanks?
Because they are as thick as planks
