Yes We Are No Piranhas

There's a government in town
It's run by a Scot
And his name is Gordon Brown
And does he talk some rot!
When you ask his policies,
He moves to higher ground
And in one complicated breath
He says he's saved the pound
He tells you
“Yes, we are no piranhas
We are no piranhas today
We're not like Devonians
Nor like Old Etonians
These are who we keep at bay -
We have Mesopotamia
But we haven't no shame, dear
And yes, we are no piranhas,
We are no piranhas today.”

Overseas they're on their knees
With Afghan power-play:
“Send in Jack, or call Barack,
Tell Karzai what to say.”
When they came to do the count,
The sums were all askew,
But body-bags, a fair amount,
Were ordered in, brand-new,
The West says
“Yes, we are no piranhas,
We are no piranhas today
We're not like Devonians
Nor like Old Etonians
These are who we keep at bay -
Spiky fish may well be breeding:
That's as much as we're conceding -
And yes, we are no piranhas,
We are no piranhas today.”

Yes We Are No Piranhas

A dead piranha was found in the river Torridge in Devon. The Afghan election is proving inconclusive. US commander, General Stanley McChrystal said that "The situation in Afghanistan is serious, but … demands a revised implementation strategy, commitment and resolve, and increased unity of effort.”
